TAG THEY'RE IT: SHAZAM'S BIGGEST MOVERS

Couch potatoes are clearly settling in with their phones by their side as TV synchs drive the list of biggest movers on the Shazam USA Top 100.

Netflix’s Sex Education is responsible for two entries: Al Green’s 1972 version of The BeeGees hit “How Can You Mend a Broken Heart” (Hi/Fat Possum) and the song that Sufjan Stevens wrote for the film Call Me By Your Name, “Mystery of Love” (Madison Gate).

Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect” (Atlantic) lands on the list after being used by two different shows in one week, Showtime’s Shameless and ABC’s The Good Doctor. A 2015 cut from Shinedown, “How Did You Love” (Atlantic), tops the list after a placement on 9-1-1: Lone Star.

The trend continues in the U.K. where Warren G f/Nate Dogg’s “Regulate” (Island Def Jam) is the biggest mover after being used on Starz’ Power.

The outlier that bucks the trend is a new song from Def Jam’s Jhene Aiko, “P*$$y Fairy (OTW).”
