GRAMMY TALK: REBA

Country icon Reba is known for making a big impression. After wowing millions of viewers with her “Fancy” triple-costume change during November’s CMA Awards, it’s no surprise that Reba’s first arena tour since the trek behind 2011’s All the Women I Am is finding a warm welcome in markets across the country. She’s quickly racking up a passel of sold-out dates—Live Nation’s Brian O’Connell is saying Reba’s return is already proving to be one of the hottest tickets in 2020. The headline run kicks off in early March, just a few weeks after the Grammys, in which her latest set on Big Machine Records, Stronger Than the Truth, is nominated for Best Country Album.

“Being acknowledged always feels amazing, and having the Grammys believe in my last two albums is truly special,” Reba offers. “I couldn’t have brought these stories to life without the songwriters, the fans and so many who touched Stronger Than the Truth. I’m so proud of this nomination; it’s really for us all, and I hope the songs continue to touch hearts the way they have mine.”

Reba is a true renaissance woman. This year, the onetime star of the popular sitcom that bore her name hosted the ACM Awards and co-hosted the CMAs alongside Carrie Underwood and Dolly Parton, while adding more dates to her long-running country residency in Vegas alongside Brooks & Dunn, lending her unmistakable voice to the animated feature Spies in Disguise, which opens on Christmas Day, and prepping a Spotify podcast for 2020.
