THE DEATH OF PRINT JOURNALISM: UNIMPEACHABLE EDITION

Right Hand/RCA artist Khalid, who graces the cover of our latest print mag, has had an outstanding run with his chart-topping sophomore album, Free Spirit, and Pop radio/streaming smash “Talk.” The Grammy buzz is only getting louder. When it came to his HITS cover appearance, though, his Spirit definitely wasn’t willing.

Recording Academy chief Deborah Dugan is experiencing her first Grammy go-round, as she and Board Chair Harvey Mason Jr. assess their world and give strong signals that positive change is in the wind. The widely admired Dugan is said to be doing her due diligence with respect to Academy operations, but she probably wishes his HITS Contents shout-out weren’t part of the process.
