Spotify's U.S. Top 50 chart is, as any biz weasel can tell you, an index of where the action is in the music marketplace right freakin' now. So let's take a look at who's enjoying the most action, based on the week of 7/11.
Interscope has 11 tracks on the chart. Five come from J. Cole and his Dreamville crew; two come from breakout superstar Billie Eilish; Da Baby, Mustard and Machine Gun Kelly provide one apiece.
Republic has nine tracks in the Top 50, with Post Malone providing three: new smash "Goodbyes" (currently #1), "Wow." and Spider-Man giant "Sunflower." The Jonas Brothers contribute two tracks, while Lil Tecca, Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande have one apiece.
Columbia currently has eight songs on the chart, with four of these coming from Lil Nas X (two "Old Town Road" remixes, Top 5 track "Panini" and "Rodeo"). Polo G, Y2K, Tyler, The Creator and The Chainsmokers round out Big Red's score.
