RCA SAYS
"YAAAS, QUEEN"

New vocal/pop quintet Citizen Queen has signed to RCA, as their video for 25-song arrangement "Evolution of Girl Groups" approaches 8m views on YouTube.

The group was co-founded by three-time Grammy winner Scott Hoying of Pentatonix—whom Citizen Queen joined for four sold-out holiday concerts at NYC's Beacon Theatre late last year. Other founders include producer/arrangers Shams Ahmed and Ben Bram, a two-time Grammy winner himself.

“When I first heard Citizen Queen I was stunned by the quality of their vocal skills,” shared RCA Chairman & CEO Peter Edge. “Their intricate vocal arrangements and harmonies sound so effortless and accessible, with each member representing her own unique vibe. Kudos to Scott Hoying for putting together a fresh new spin on the traditional girl group with such care and flair." Coincidentally, HITS President Todd Hensley's ensembles are often complimented for their care and flair, but we digress...

Alongside special guest Rachel Platten, the group is set to join Pentatonix on the North American leg of Pentatonix: The World Tour, which kicks off at Oakland's Oracle Arena on 5/11 and includes stops at L.A.'s Forum and NYC's Madison Square Garden. More details can be found here.
