U.K. MIDWEEKS: AVA STAYS ON TOP

Ava Max is heading toward a third week at #1 on the U.K.’s Official Singles Chart, with The Greatest Showman soundtrack on course for its 26th at the top of albums. There are new entries from London MC Headie One and Chris Brown, and lifts for Golden Globes winners.

Max’s “Sweet But Psycho” (Atlantic) is the midweek #1, followed by Ariana Grande’s “thank u, next” (Island) at #2. Mark Ronson and Miley Cyrus are 1.1k combined sales behind at #3 with “Nothing Breaks Like a Heart” (Columbia) and Post Malone completes the Top 5 with “Sunflower” f/Swae Lee and “Wow.” (Island).

The highest new entry is currently Headie One f/Dave’s “18HUNNA” (Relentless) at #7, while Brown’s “Undecided” (RCA) starts at #18.

On the Official Albums midweeks, The Greatest Showman (Atlantic) has a lead of nearly 5k combined sales. George Ezra’s Staying at Tamara’s (Columbia) holds at #2 and the A Star is Born (Polydor) lifts one place to #3 following Sunday night’s Golden Globes win for Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper.

Queen also have two albums in the Top 10 following the win for Bohemian Rhapsody – the film’s soundtrack is at #7 and The Platinum Collection (Universal) is on course for a Top 10 return at #10.

Finally, Fleetwood Mac retrospective 50 years – Don’t Stop (Rhino) is on course to enter the Top 5 for the first time this week, currently up four places to #4.
