TAPPING STAR POWER: CAA SIGNS COBB
After consulting for and producing music for A Star is Born, Dave Cobb has turned to CAA to handle his work in film and television.
A four-time Grammy winner, Cobb is coming off a CMA Awards win for Single of the Year (“Broken Halos” by Chris Stapleton). He has recently produced Brandi Carlile, John Prine, Lori McKenna and Jason Isbell.
CAA has had a spate of recent deals connecting recording artists with film projects, among them Mark Ronson scoring Orion Pictures’ Songs of the Damned; Annie Lennox writing and performing a song for Aviron’s A Private War; and Troye Sivan & Jónsi writing an original song for Focus Features’ Boy Erased.
