As we mentioned a while back, U.K. singer/songwriter Freya Ridings sparked a major bidding contest after her single "Lost Without You" started taking off and Steve Barnett's Capitol team prevailed in that contest, and will issue her debut album in 2019 via Christian Tattersfield/Good Soldier (excluding U.K./Ireland and GSA).
"Lost Without You" is Top 10 in the U.K. and looks headed for #1, made BBC Radio 1's A List and has spent five weeks at #1 on the U.K.'s Shazam chart. The song has earned about 38m streams at Spotify.
"I believe Freya has as much potential as any artist we have been involved with at Capitol to date," Barnett proclaimed in a memo to staff.
Ridings will travel to L.A. for a Capitol Studios showcase next month.
