SOWDERS GET LOUDER

Amid all the tumult and change everywhere, it's nice to be able to celebrate continuity once in a while. So we take this moment to salute the very talented Greg Sowders for having extended his deal at Warner/Chappell.

Sowders, who retains the title of SVP of A&R, began at the pubbery in 1991, and the latest extension of his employment will give him three decades there. That kind of longevity, we scarcely need remark, is a rare thing. His current projects and recent signings include Twenty One Pilots, Portugal. The Man, Disturbed, Kaleo, Head and the Heart and plenty more besides.

His career signings include Katy Perry, Green Day, Nate Ruess/fun., The Deftones, Nickelback, Slash, David Byrne, Lucinda Williams and Rob Zombie, among others.

Greg really likes talking about rock and alternative music. He doesn't really enjoy us singing along with The Best of Bread, but hey, it's Friday.
