DOLLY'S DUET WITH SIA IS NEARLY "HERE"

The legendary Dolly Parton is contributing music to the Netflix -backed film Dumplin, with a soundtrack due on 11/30 via Dolly Records/RCA Nashville. The lead single, out at midnight ET on 9/14, finds Parton teaming up with Sia for "Here I Am," which Dolly wrote and originally recorded in 1971.

Parton co-wrote six originals for the set with producer Linda Perry. Other contributors to the soundtrack include Miranda Lambert, Mavis Staples, Elle King, Alison Krauss and Jennifer Aniston.

Wait, Jennifer Aniston?

Oh, well, she's a co-star of the film, about a beauty pageant in a small Texas town and the teenager (Patti Cake$' Danielle Macdonald) who throws it into turmoil. Dumplin will debut on Netflix and in select U.S. theaters later this year.

Additionally, 9 to 5 The Musical, which ran on Broadway in 2009, will be revived at London’s Savoy Theatre in a limited run from 1/28 to 8/31, while 9 to 5 The Musical Original Broadcast Cast Recording will be re-released on Dolly Records. The show combines a book by Patricia Resnick, the film’s screenwriter, with Parton’s original score.

Dolly's been in the news of late, as she was recently tapped as MusiCares' 2019 Person of the Year. She'll accept that honor on 2/8.
