NOAH’S ARC TAKES HIM TO COLUMBIA

Columbia has tapped Noah Goldstein as SVP of A&R. Big cheese Ron Perry made the announcement. Goldstein will report to Perry and Co-Heads of A&R Justin Eshak and Imran Majid.

“I’ve been following Noah’s work as a producer for years,” Perry noted. “He complements our A&R culture and brings an impeccable creative element to our team.”

Goldstein, meanwhile, expressed his excitement at the opportunity “to continue pushing the boundaries of the way music is created and discovered.”

The Grammy-winning engineer, mixer and producer has spent the last eight years as Kanye West’s official engineer while also serving as producer/engineer and A&R rep for G.O.O.D. Music. Among the projects Goldstein has worked on are Arcade Fire’s Album of the Year The Suburbs, Frank Ocean’s Blonde, Pusha T’s Daytona, Travis Scott’s Rodeo and Drake’s More Life, as well as Kanye’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, Watch the Throne (with Jay-Z), Yeezus and The Life of Pablo.

The 2006 Temple grad began his studio career at Electric Lady Studios in NYC, where he worked on projects for Patti Smith, Keith Richards, M.I.A., Nas, Mos Def, Rihanna and others.
