Members of The Meters—Joseph "Zigaboo" Modeliste, Leo Nocentelli, Cyril Neville and George Porter Jr. —will perform at the Grammy Salute to Music Legends where they are among the acts receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award.
Founder/keyboardist Art Neville, who rarely performs these days, will not be performing.
The Recording Academy has expanded the lineup for the awards ceremony and tribute concert on Saturday at Dolby Theatre. Yolanda Adams will perform and honor Technical Grammy recipients Tony Agnello and Richard Factor; violinist Anne Akiko Meyers will perform a tribute to John Williams and Gustavo Dudamel will present Williams with his award.
Grammy Salute to Music Legends is produced in partnership with THIRTEEN Productions as part of the Great Performances series on PBS and will air later this year.
