TOMORROW LAND

The members of RCA’s Dave Matthews Band are celebrating their seventh #1, as Come Tomorrow lands on top of the HITS Top 50 with 297k, supercharged by an impressive ticket bundle. Meanwhile, Kanye West and Kid Cudi (aka Kids See Ghosts) scare up a #2 bow, moving around 141k for G.O.O.D./Def Jam.

The next big release comes from Capitol Nashville’s Dierks Bentley, whose ninth studio album, The Mountain, lands at #3 with more than 102k.

As for the remaining debuts, Rise rock band Dance Gavin Dance rounds out the Top 10 with 33k for Artificial Selection. And Sugarland’s Bigger (Big Machine/BMLG) is #12 with 29k.

It’s worth noting that Post Malone’s Stoney (Republic) has hopped up to #14, meaning that the House of Lipman’s superstar has two albums in the Top 15. His beerbongs & bentleys, which has been out for 13 weeks now, is #4, down a mere 7%. Grade A/Interscope's Juice WRLD remains in the Top 10, up 6%.

Speaking of doubling down, Kanye’s Ye (G.O.O.D./Def Jam) remains Top 5 in week two, tacking on 78k. Fun fact: Between Kids See Ghosts and his latest solo set (with only seven tracks per release), Yeezy racked up 168m+ streams.

Let’s talk marketshare. UMG is #1 with 55%, Sony Music follows with 28%, WMG is #3 with 16% and the indies claim 1%.

Streeting this week are albums by Capitol's 5 Seconds of Summer, Mass Appeal/Def Jam’s Nas, RCA’s Christina Aguilera and TDE/Interscope’s Jay Rock. And then, of course, the following week there’s Drake. How big will the YMCMB/Republic giant’s bow be? We don’t know the answer to that, but one thing’s certain: The op-ed suggesting that Paul Manafort "may be in big trouble" is probably underselling it.
