IRVING ISN'T BUYING
LYOR'S HYPE

Unlike certain other powerful people, Irving Azoff tweets rarely, but when he does, it’s unvaryingly pithy and pointed. What inspired him to go on record Tuesday night was that much-discussed Business Insider story headlined "YouTube's Lyor Cohen says to forget about YouTube's rocky past with the music industry because the real threat is Spotify and Apple.” Irving, who has referred to Lyor as “Liar Cohen,” took issue with that assertion.

“Apple and Spotify don’t threaten, they pay a fair wage,” he tweeted. “YouTube’s below market rates are a threat to artists’ livelihood.”
