.PAAK MENTALITY

Anderson .Paak's "Bubblin" (Aftermath/12 Tone), which serves as the first drop from Doug Morris' new 12 Tone venture, has arrived. The song premiered as Zane Lowe's newest World Record today on Apple Music's Beats 1 show.

The song has since been released to all DSPs. It's worth noting that during their discussion, .Paak told Lowe, “I have 65,000 songs in the vault. No features, fam.”

Rumors that Morris would take his label imprint to Warner Music Group (and enlist former Def Jam honcho Steve Bartels) began swirling earlier this year. Stay tuned for more details about 12 Tone, which is now ensconced in the N.Y. Times building.

Rumors that a nearby deli had suddenly seen its profits rise by 1,000% could not be confirmed at press time.
