SIMPLE MINDS PLOT RETURN TO U.S.

After former husband and wife Jim Kerr and Chrissie Hynde wrap their joint Grandslam Tour of the U.K. this summer, Simple Minds will hit North America for a 24-date run that starts in the former steel mill city of Bethlehem, Pa.

Touring in support of their BMG release from February, Walk Between Worlds, Simple Minds will perform 10/2 at New York’s Beacon, 10/9 at Ryman Auditorium in Nashville and in L.A. on 10/24 at the Orpheum. A Spotify pre-sale starts Thursday; the general on-sale is Friday.

Their first gigs in support of the album—at Glasgow's Barrowland Ballroom, Albert Hall in Manchester and Roundhouse in London—featured Simple Minds performing the album in full, an interview session and a set of hits. No word yet on what Kerr has in store for their first U.S. tour since 2013 (and first North American tour in two decades) and only their second go-round since 2002.
