After a week of sitting at #1 on the iTunes songs chart, Carrie Underwood has announced a release date of 9/14 for her first studio album on Capitol Records Nashville.
Underwood, who co-produced the album Cry Pretty, with writer/producer David Garcia, says it’s the result of her feeling more creative than ever. “I think you can hear that in this new album. It’s emotional, it’s soulful, it’s real, and we also have some fun on there too.”
The song “Cry Pretty,” which Underwood performed at the Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday, racked up 1.3m streams in the U.S. in its first two days of release.
Underwood provides look inside her recording and co-producing process in a new trailer.
