A NEW STAR FOR ASTRALWERKS

Toby Andrews is moving from London to the Tower to take over as General Manager of Astralwerks, the dance/electronic music label Capitol Music Group intends to rejuvenate.

Reporting to Capitol Music Group COO Michelle Jubelirer, Andrews is charged with renewing the label’s strengths in the dance and electronic music genres. The label will be based for the first time in the Capitol Tower and will adopt a fully global approach to its releases and artist development. He starts on 5/21.

“Toby is the ideal executive to lead Astralwerks in the years ahead,” Jubelirer said. “He is known for his abilities in artist development and for cultivating strong relationships with creators and other talent to achieve success.”

London-based Andrews has been General Manager of International Marketing for Sony Music International for the last nine years, overseeing campaigns for Martin Garrix, Kygo and Jean-Michel Jarre among many others. Previously, Andrews ran the London office of public relations firm Get In.

“The recorded music space for electronic artists has changed so much in the past few years and I’m excited to bring a truly artist-first, international approach to Astralwerks,” Andrews said. “No where do they keep the chips and kippers?”
