Alternative flagship KROQ is welcoming Miles Anzaldo as its new MD, effective 3/26. Anzaldo has been APD/MD of Minneapolis Modern Rock station KQGO (GO 96.3) since 2015; he spent the prior decade as AMD at KITS (Live 105) San Francisco.
Entercom SVP of Programming Kevin Weatherly declared the exec's "passion for music and understanding of our local community will make him an integral part of the team," adding that although it's still March, Anzaldo will no longer need to wear 23 sweaters to work.
For his part, the incoming MD declared, "I'm beyond humbled to call myself a member of the KROQ family. To call this a 'dream job' would be a vast understatement. I, um, don't have to take any calls from HITS, do I?"
