U.K. CHARTS: WMG DOMINATES TOP 5

Warner Music has ended the week with 80% of the U.K. Top 5 Official Albums and Singles chart spots, as The Greatest Showman soundtrack (Atlantic) joins Ed Sheeran in achieving the second longest unbroken stint at #1 of the last 20 years. UB40 are the highest new entry at #2 with A Real Labour of Love (Warner Bros.).

The Greatest Showman has just ended its ninth week at the top of the albums chart on 42k combined sales. Adele is the only artist to better that run in Blighty over the last two decades with 21 spending 11 weeks at the top in 2011.

Embrace are the second highest new entry this week with seventh album, Love is a Basic Need (Cooking Vinyl), at #5. Further down, Tory Lanez ends at #8 with Memories Don't Die (Virgin EMI) and The Breeders are new at #9 with All Nerve (4AD).

Those other Warner album entries are Ed Sheeran at #3 with ÷ (Atlantic) and Dua Lipa at #4 with her self-titled debut (Warner Bros.).

On the Official Singles Chart, Drake has the #1 spot for the seventh week in a row with “God’s Plan” (Island). That’s followed by four Warner releases in “These Days” (Asylum) by Rudimental, “IDGAF” (Warner Bros.) by Dua Lipa, “Feel It Still” (Atlantic) by Portugal. The Man and “Friends” (Atlantic) by Marshmello and Anne-Marie at #5.

The highest new entry is XXXTentacion with “Sad” (Bad Vibes) at #26, while young British rapper Dave has his third U.K. Top 40 single with the self-released “Hangman” at #30.

High risers include Zedd, Maren Morris and Grey climbing 13 places to #18 with “The Middle” (Polydor), while George Ezra’s “Paradise” (Columbia) scales 11 places to #19 following a TV performance on Graham Norton.
