LAUNCH-ING A HIT

The first single from Scott Borchetta’s The Launch went straight to #1 at iTunes after debuting on the first episode of the new series aired on CTV. Not bad, eh?

After the premiere ended, “The Lucky Ones” by Canadian Logan Staats launched on radio stations across Canada and was made available to buy and stream worldwide on iHeartRadio, Apple Music, iTunes, Spotify and Google Play. #TheLaunch was the top trending topic on Twitter in Canada throughout the premiere and into this morning.

Borchetta worked on the song with Shania Twain and producer busbee, who wrote the song with Bebe Rexha.

“Launching Logan and ‘The Lucky Ones’ tonight reinforces the premise of this show: it all starts with a great song,” Borchetta said while diving into a celebratory bowl of poutine. “busbee delivered a song with amazing potential. Pairing that great song with the right artist creates a perfect storm—and Logan’s haunting, powerful voice and sheer talent bring this song to life so beautifully.”

The Launch is produced by Bell Media in association with Borchetta of Big Machine Label Group, Paul Franklin of Eureka in partnership with John Brunton and Lindsay Cox of Insight Productions.
