GRAMMYS: JAY-Z, BRUNO LEAD THE BIG 4

Jay-Z and Bruno Mars are up for three of the Big 4 Grammy Awards, securing noms in the Record, Song and Album of the Year. Kendrick Lamar, Julia Michaels, Childish Gambino, Alessia Cara and the team behind “Despacito” are up for two of the general categories.

Both are up for Album of the Year while Record of the Year pits Jay-Z’s “The Story of O.J.” against Mars’ “24K Magic” and the Song category includes Hova’s “4:44” and Bruno’s “That’s What I Like.”

Daddy Yankee, Luis Fonsi and Justin Bieber are nominated for song and record; Republic’s Michaels secured Best New Artist and Song nominations. Glassnote’s Childish Gambino is up for Record and Album; Cara is up for New Artist and Song.

Two-time nominee Andra Day announced the Big Four nominations for the 60th annual Grammy Awards today on CBS This Morning. The full list of nominations in 84 categories was announced online.

Jay-Z leads the field with eight nominations, followed by Lamar with seven, Mars with six, and Gambino, Khalid, No I.D., SZA and Cara with five each. (A song Cara sang in Moana, "How Far I'll Go," earned a nom for songwriter Lin-Manual Miranda in Song for Visual Media.)
