MARKS TO OVERSEE PURDY WORDS FOR TOWNSQUARE

Townsquare Media has added veteran music journo Craig Marks as Editorial Director.

In this capacity he'll oversee digital content for eight properties under Townsquare's umbrella, including TasteofCountry, Loudwire, PopCrush, ScreenCrush, UltimateClassicRock, TheBoot, Diffuser and TheBoombox.

Marks previously served as exec editor at Billboard and editor-in chief at Blender, Spin and Popdust and has written for GQ, the New York Times and Details, among others; he also co-authored the book I Want My MTV: The Uncensored Story of the Music Video Revolution.

He joins XXL editor in chief Vanessa Satten on the editorial team for Townsquare, which, in addition to its highly trafficked online properties, boasts 318 radio stations, 18 music festivals and a great many funnel cakes.
