Inside sources say incoming WMG CEO of Recorded Music Max Lousada and current Warner Bros. Records chief Cameron Strang have been working on a succession plan. The upshot is that Strang will remain Chairman/CEO until Tom Corson and Aaron Bay-Schuck arrive sometime next year when their deals expire—unless they're let out of their contracts before that time.

According to the same sources, Strang is in discussions with Len Blavatnik and Steve Cooper regarding a major new entertainment partnership inside WMG.

The timing of this activity occurs as WBR is heating up, with breaking singles from Dua Lipa, Lil Pump and Bebe Rexha.
