BENNY BLANCO RENEWS INTERSCOPE LABEL DEAL

Producer/writer Benny Blanco has renewed his label deal with Interscope, keeping Blanco's Mad Love and Friends Keep Secrets imprints in the IGA fold into the next decade.

The three-time Grammy winner's copious credits include hits with Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber, Rihanna, Katy Perry, Maroon 5, Kesha, Halsey, Wiz Khalifa, Julia Michaels and Tory Lanez. The latter artist, along with Cashmere Cat and others, is on the Mad Love label, while the more indie FKS imprint's roster includes Jessie Ware.

Interscope Geffen A&M Chairman John Janick called Blanco “one of the most sought after hit makers in contemporary music who has amazing taste and a gift for identifying emerging talent. … Benny also has an almost divine ability to bring out the best in his collaborators, a track record virtually unmatched by anyone else his age, and he has achieved it all with the kind of humility and self-deprecation that is rare in this industry.”

Blanco, who launched the labels in 2014, said, "It's been so easy working with these guys when developing artists can often feel so hard. I couldn't have a picked a better team of creative minds to work with in John Janick, Steve Berman and Joie Manda. I'm really proud to be part of this legendary label and hope that I can make serious contributions to the legacy of Interscope over the coming years."
