The Recording Academy will be opening its first east-coast Grammy Museum Experience at Newark, New Jersey's Prudential Center.

Due to open 10/20, the space will house interactive exhibits and one-of-a-kind pop culture artifacts like Kanye West's drum major costume and pieces worn by the likes of Michael Jackson, Amy Winehouse and Beyoncé.

In honor of its location, the museum will pay homage to home-grown acts like Frank Sinatra, Bruce Springsteen and Whitney Houston with the "New Jersey Legends" exhibit.

Having been developed for educational purposes the Museum will also be raising funds to support pre-existing music and culture programs as well as creating new educational opportunities and programs for the area's youth.

"As stewards of these iconic brands, active residents of the city of Newark, and under the leadership of Josh Harris and David Blitzer, we believe it is our responsibility and privilege to ignite the special passion sports and music has in our world, and on the youth of today," said Scott O'Neil, CEO of the New Jersey Devils and Prudential Center.

Tickets go on sale starting 9/13 for $9-12 and can be purchased through the Grammy Museum website or through Ticketmaster.
