A DIAMOND IS A GERSON'S BEST FRIEND

Universal Music Publishing has officially announced the appointment of Jamie Diamond as Director of Communications. She'll report to UMG EVP Communications and Member of the Executive Management Board Will Tanous.

The Texas native, who previously served at PR firm Sunshine Sachs, will be making all of her calls while sitting on the 405 in one of Jody Gerson's Little Red Corvettes. She was, happily, not obliged to service her own press release.

"Under Jody Gerson’s leadership, UMPG has redefined the traditional role of a music publisher, evolving into the most dynamic and progressive company in the industry," Tanous proclaimed after sending us to voice mail. "Jamie’s range of experience in music, digital and brands is well suited to represent UMPG and its songwriters, while serving as a key member of UMG's global communications team."
