CHRIS STAPLETON'S
ROOM SERVICE

Details have emerged on Chris Stapleton’s next album, From a Room: Volume 1, which will be released 5/5—exactly two years after the release of his breakthrough Traveller—on Mercury Records Nashville and followed by a second volume later in the year.

The album takes its name from Nashville’s historic RCA Studio A, where it was recorded during the winter of 2016-17. Again produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Dave Cobb, Vol. 1 features eight original songs as well as a rendition of “Last Thing I Needed, First Thing This Morning,” written by Gary P. Nunn and Donna Sioux Farar and made famous by Willie Nelson. Stapleton recently premiered “Second One to Know” at the 52nd annual Academy of Country Music Awards; “Either Way” is the album’s first single.

The album features Stapleton on vocals and guitar, Cobb on acoustic guitar, Morgane Stapleton on harmony vocals, J.T. Cure on bass and Derek Mixon on drums; harmonica player Mickey Raphael, Robby Turner is on pedal steel and Mike Webb plays keys.

Having finished a Canadian tour last month, Stapleton is currently on his All-American Road Show that stops at The Forum on 5/20, the CMA Music Fest in Nashville on 6/11 and New York’s Jones Beach on 7/21.
