BMG MOVES SELECT TRACKS TO ADA

BMG is moving nearly 100k tracks and 8,000 albums to Warner Music Group’s ADA, among them music from the Sanctuary, Mute and Chrysalis labels. The consolidation plan is designed to bring substantial benefits in terms of service, efficiency and logistics to physical and digital retailers and services worldwide.

“Over the past months ADA has delivered a seamless global transition of a significant volume of repertoire without disruption and to schedule, and I’d like to congratulate the entire ADA team on their work,” BMG EVP Global Rights Administration Ben Katovsky said. “Neither of us underestimates the complexities of this latest move, however, and we will be monitoring the situation carefully over the coming weeks to ensure the highest levels of service to our customers.”

Titles from Black Sabbath, Motorhead, The Kinks, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Fatboy Slim, The Gap Band, Jim Croce and Emerson, Lake & Palmer are part of the move. Other labels affected are Echo, Hawk/Air, Skint, Cavalcade, R2M/La Strada, Salsoul/West End/Bethlehem, PWL and Avenue.
