iHEART UNVEILS BEST NEW ARTIST NOMS

The Strumbellas, Kelsea Ballerini, Chance the Rapper and The Chainsmokers are among the finalists for the Best New Artist category at the 2017 iHeartRadio Music Awards.

Winners are picked from seven different music formats—Rock/Alternative Rock, Country, Hip-Hop, Latin, Regional Mexican, Pop and R&B—and are then up for the New Artist award which comes with a 2017 Subaru Impreza. The award will be given out at The Forum on 3/5.

Best New Rock/Alternative Rock Artist: The Strumbellas

Best New Country Artist: Kelsea Ballerini

Best New Hip-Hop Artist: Chance the Rapper

Best New Latin Artist: CNCO

Best New Regional Mexican Artist: Joss Favela

Best New Pop Artist: The Chainsmokers

Best New R&B Artist: Bryson Tiller

Alternative fact: Administration efforts to get Betsy DeVos nominated in the category failed when it was revealed she had never recorded a song, never written a song nor listened to the radio.
