HITS' HIGH FIVE: A FORMAL AFFAIR

Grammy Week is upon us and as we get out the formal wear, we’ve noticed the cumberbunds are a bit snug, the nasty stain on the tux’s lapel has finally faded and we might as well just take a Magic Marker to our Nikes instead of buying new dress shoes. The HITS’ High Five, meanwhile, looks sharp and fits just fine.

Speaking of the Grammys, we’ve got performers and parties, a MusiCares online auction and two nerds picking the winners.

Lady Gaga’s Super Bowl performance led to the announcement of a summer tour and a sales bonanza for Joanne and “Million Reasons.”

Katy Perry has dropped a new single, “Chained to the Rhythm.”

Universal Music Group has secured the rights to Prince’s NPG releases and his vaults. And it’s looking like we’ll finally be able to stream "Bambi" and "D.M.S.R." come Sunday.

Sly Stone, Ringo Starr and Neil Young are among the musicians on Clive Davis' guest list for Saturday’s shindig. Maybe they can all reminisce about the time…
