U2—no shrinking violets when it comes to confronting crucial issues head on—addressed the presidential race in no uncertain terms during the band’s performance at the iHeartRadio Music Festival Friday night at Vegas’ recently opened T-Mobile Arena. The fest’s location in the gambling capital of the world provides Bono with a fitting metaphor with which to underscore the urgency of his message. The band set up this indelible moment, which occurred during opening number “Desire,” by showering the crowd with the currency pictured above.
