WME-ELDRIDGE RUMORS UNFOUNDED, SAY SOURCES

Sources say the recent rumor about WME buying Todd Boehly’s Billboard-Hollywood Reporter-Dick Clark Productions media portfolio is pure vapor, and that Boehly's Eldridge Industries is seeing very little interest in the marketplace as BB and THR continue bleeding money at the rate of about $20 million per year. Many believe such rumors are being leaked to ramp up interest in DCP—the one part of the media group that remains attractive to potential buyers—but that the $1 billion asking price is thought to be very aggressive. Stay tuned.
