WMG INKS VIDEO DEAL WITH VEVO

Warner Music Group is finally making its videos available on Vevo. WMG and the video platform have signed a licensing agreement that will see premium videos from Warner Music Group artists distributed on Vevo-owned and controlled properties.

“We're pleased to have built a flexible and mutually beneficial relationship that will bring additional creative and commercial possibilities to our artists and songwriters,” Steve Cooper, CEO, Warner Music Group, said. “This partnership is the latest in a recent series of deals that are helping us explore ways to unlock the true value of music videos in attracting and engaging vast audiences."

Vevo recently announced a company-wide reboot that focuses on three areas brand, creative content and programming and product.

“Today marks an important milestone for Vevo as we forge a new relationship with Warner Music Group based on a shared vision of putting artists first and creating a platform that does justice to the music,” Vevo CEO Erik Huggers said.

The two execs then kicked back in their Barcaloungers and started streaming the collected works of Allan Sherman.
