Drake’s Views (YMCMB/Republic) earns another 88k to hold at #1 on HITS’ Sales Plus Streaming (SPS) Chart for a second week following blink-182’s usurpation. Since its May release, though, it’s been on top for eleven nonconsecutive weeks. And guess what? Views is officially the first album to score 1m in SEA (Streaming Equivalent Albums) thanks to 1.5b+ streams.
Meanwhile, NEEDTOBREATHE’s H A R D L O V E (WMG) bows at #1 on the Album Sales Chart with 45k.
If we’re focusing on SPS (which we are), H A R D L O V E makes its entrance at #2 with a total of 49k. There, we see two other debuts in the Top 15, as Razor & Tie’s Kidz Bop 32 appears at #7 with 30k and Dirty Heads’ Dirty Heads (Five Seven Music) lands at #15 with 21k.
Rihanna’s ANTI (Westbury Road/Roc Nation) jumps #9-4, while Epic’s Epic AF—a compilation of previously released tracks by Epic artists—and Sia’s This Is Acting (RCA) broke back into the Top 10 at #9 and #10, respectively.
Logic’s Bobby Tarantino (Def Jam), which was just made available to buy last week, leaps #19-11; it’s been up for streaming since 6/30.
Streeting this week are albums from Gucci Mane, Def Jam’s Lil Durk, Loud & Proud’s Twisted Sister, RED’s Keith Sweat and more.
We highly suggest that Rick Astley consider rereleasing 1987’s Whenever You Need Somebody (RCA) soon, considering all the recent pickup “Never Gonna Give You Up” has been getting.
