RINGO CELEBRATES HIS 76TH

Ringo Starr celebrated his 76th birthday at Capitol Records Thursday with musician friends such as Benmont Tench, Dave Stewart and Joe Walsh, using the event to announce new tour dates and salute “Peace and Love.”

David Lynch, Ed Begley Jr., Edgar Winter, Eric Burdon, Glen Ballard, Howie Mandel, Joe Montagna, Jim Keltner, Richard Lewis, Richard Marx and current All Starrs Richard Page, Steve Lukather and Gregg Bissonette celebrated the Beatles drummer’s birth outside the Tower. The event was streamed live on his Facebook page.

A musical tribute included Stewart and Jon Stevens playing "With A Little Help From My Friends" and "No No Song," Vandaveer doing "Don't Pass Me By" and "Photograph," and Alberta Cross covering "It Don't Come Easy and "You Can't Stop Lightening."

Ringo and his All Starrs (Lukather, Gregg Rolie, Todd Rundgren, Page, Warren Hamm and Bissonnette) will play five dates along the West Coast in October before heading to Japan and South Korea for eight concerts.
