FLASHBACK FRIDAY: ROCK'S BACK PAGE

Today's flashback pic finds rock icon Jimmy Page and industry icon Ahmet Ertegun sharing a chuckle, probably not in clairvoyant anticipation of this week's plagiarism trial. Page testified again yesterday, answering questions about the composition of Led Zeppelin's "Stairway to Heaven" and whether it was created by infringing the copyrights of other works, notably "Taurus" by Spirit.

Thursday's case saw an expert witness, musicologist Dr. Alexander Stewart, talking about similarities between the songs, but the plaintiffs were admonished by the judge for taking their questioning well into the weeds. And we're not talking about the smokable kind. Let's just say that a song from Mary Poppins was involved, and if you want to know more you can go here.
