Doug Morris, Peter Edge, Jack Antonoff, Alicia Keys, Elle King, Tom Corson and Daniel Glass, just before a spontaneous hora broke out.
Peter Edge and Tom Corson’s UJA honors at NYC's Pierre Hotel on Thursday saw a who’s who of the biz show up to eat kosher chicken (presented in bento box-like servings) and pay tribute to a pair of extremely well-liked gentiles.
Among the throng of industryites in attendance were a slew of Sony International folks. The proceedings were emceed by director/impresario Baz Luhrmann, whose remarks were followed by Glassnote chief Daniel Glass (fun fact: he's actually Jewish). Sony Music ruler Doug Morris offered a heartfelt toast, and Elle King and Alicia Keys performed to warm response.
Among the attendees were Martin Bandier, Clive Davis, Rob Stringer, Julie Swidler, Doug Davis, Charlie Feldman, Charles Goldstuck, Jason Flom, Rick Krim, Kevin Liles and Cary Sherman, .
Artist/producer/songwriter Jack Antonoff presented a funny video, co-starring RCA artists like Justin Timberlake, Miley Cyrus and Dave Grohl, that made much sport with the Music Visionary recipients not being Jews. Edge and Corson spoke about their backgrounds in a menschy manner, past honorees were saluted and Mazel Tovs offered. L’chaim!
Edge and Corson are joined by Glass, Liles, Goldstuck and Sherman; Daniel leads the hamotzi; the honorees with prior honoree Clive Davis
