HALPERN TO REDEFINE "INDIE PROMO" AT CAROLINE
Caroline, Capitol Music Group's independent services and distribution arm, has tapped Marni Halpern to step into the newly minted post of SVP Promotion, reporting to GMs Jacqueline Saturn and Piero Giramonti.
The NYC-based Halpern is a 22-year promo veteran who most recently ran North America pop promo at RED Associated Labels (RED). Saturn and Girmaonti, who always deliver their quotes in unison, described her as "a killer," praising her "fantastic relationships at radio," her "keen strategic sense" and her uncanny intuition about when to call radio staffers "buddy" and when to call them "dude."
For her part, Halpern thanked the Caroline co-chiefs as well as CMG chief Steve Barnett and execs Michelle Jubelirer and Scott Greer, adding that she was "really excited to be part of the CMG family."
