Here’s a cool distinction for a cool dude: Dan Wilson has co-writes on the top two albums on the HITS Album Sales Chart. He collaborated with Chris Stapleton on “When the Stars Come Out” from Traveller and with Rivers Cuomo on “California Kids” from Weezer (The White Album). Interestingly, both songs were written several years ago, and weren’t part of the writing sessions for the respective albums, coming instead out of friends getting together to write and play music.
