CAPITOL UNLEASHES KELLER INSTINCT

Andrew Keller has been tapped as VP A&R for Capitol, CMG COO Michelle Jubelirer announced. The NYC-based Keller most recently served at Columbia, where he inked and developed such artists as ZHU, Krewella, Dillon Francis and MS MR; his stint at the label lasted 13 years, during much of which Tower topper Steve Barnett was co-head of Columbia.

Jubelirer praised Keller as possessing "great ears [and] a broad range of musical knowledge," adding that "he lives and breathes his gig." He also lives and breathes sushi, but that's to be expected.

For his part, Keller said he was "incredibly excited to be reunited with Steve Barnett and grateful to him and Michelle Jubelirer for the opportunity to join them as part of the Capitol team. From its legacy of iconic artists to its landmark Tower and studios, Capitol has served as a touchstone in the history of recorded music and it is a privilege to be a part of this exciting new chapter."

In other news of the two coasts, it'll be in the upper 20s in New York tonight, with a "freeze warning" in effect. It's currently 73 degrees outside our L.A. cesspool.
