KANYE'S TIDAL WAVE (SECOND UPDATE)

As expected, Kanye West delivered his new G.O.O.D./Def Jam album exclusively to Tidal for streaming right after his Saturday Night Live performance.

Yeezy also put The Life of Pablo on sale exclusively from KanyeWest.com on what was to be its first week of release. But in a quintessentially Kanye move, West tweeted Sunday morning that he’d given the exclusive to Tidal for another week before making it available to other outlets, apparently including his own.

Given the firestorm of fan complaints and reported malfunctions in the hours following the "release," it's unclear at this point whether anyone at any point was actually able to buy the album.

Those who enter the site will encounter not a "buy" button but an interminable message/rap from one Yasiin Bey, aka Mos Def. Truly Bizarre.

So was a Saturday tweet in which he claimed to be $53m in debt.

Will Kanye later deliver music to iTunes, Amazon and other e-tailers, or will he use Jay Z’s superstar-owned platform for sales as well? Will he limit Tidal’s streaming exclusive to a week or two? What about physical? Is the windowed streaming and sales exclusive on the Rihanna record the model here? So many questions...
