AIN'T NO SUMMIT LIKE A COUNTRY SUMMIT

At the iHeart Country Summit, programming guru Tom Poleman and prexy John Sykes welcome Capitol Nashville's Keith Urban, Mercury Nashville's Chris Stapleton and MCA Nashville's Vince Gill to the "trade photo wing" of Bob Pittman's jet. Later, everyone enjoyed a red velvet cake shaped like a pedal-steel guitar. Seen trying to punctuate Sarah Palin's endorsement speech are (l-r) iHeart's Rod Phillips, Gill, Urban, Poleman, Sykes and Stapleton.

On a serious note, Gill performed an emotional tribute to his late friend Glenn Frey at the summit, performing the Eagles classic "Desperado" to a rapt house until he broke down—and Urban stepped in. The response was thunderous.
