A VERY BLIGHTY CHRISTMAS

Hear that? It's not Santa's sleigh. It is, however, the sound of superstar holiday shows coming at you from our mates at BBC Radio 1. The British broadcasting giant announced today that they'll be presenting special Christmas Day programming, hosted by the likes of One Direction and Demi Lovato. Scroll down for the full schedule.

Also note that Greg James will be announcing the Christmas #1 single live on The Official Chart with a three-hour show (10am-1pm), which will commence by looking back at all of the #1's since the year 2000. This will be the first time the big announcement has been on a Friday, as it was previously revealed on a Sunday.

“I’m absolutely delighted to announce such a stellar lineup for Radio 1 on Christmas day. Along with the Christmas No.1 on The Official Chart with Greg James, it should be a great listen, bringing the nation together on Christmas Day,” shared Radio 1 and 1Xtra Head of Programmes Rhys Hughes.

1-2pm: Radio 1’s Superstar Playlist with One Direction
2-3pm: Radio 1’s Superstar Playlist with Demi Lovato
3-4pm: Radio 1’s Superstar Playlist with Troye Sivan
4-5pm: Radio 1’s Superstar Playlist with Little Mix
5-6pm: Radio 1’s Superstar Playlist with Maisie Williams
6-7pm: Radio 1’s Superstar Playlist with The Vamps
