"Of course I can hook you up with some Cuban cigars, chief," declares Latium's Charles Chavez (c) during this jolly photo op commemorating his publishing joint venture with Marty Bandier's Sony/ATV. Meanwhile, SVP/Head of East Coast A&R Rich Christina wondered what else was available to smoke.

Later, Bandier noted it was "only natural" to pursue the deal after having worked closely with Chavez during his tenure as Pitbull's manager. "Charles will find his artists," he added, "and help them to have hits."

Sony/ATV Co-President Danny Strick, meanwhile, praised Chavez's "undeniable talent and energy for developing and breaking artists."

For his part, Chavez thanked Bandier, Strick and Co-prexy Rick Krim, noting, "Marty called me the other day to say 'Go get some hits,' and I am on it. It is that simple."

First, though, he plans to fill a kiddie pool with tequila.

Latium's label JV with RCA launched in February. The management company's roster includes MAGIC!, Danny Mercer, Heymous Molly, Benj the Rapper and new signings Shy Carter and Kat Dahlia.
