The Add Action at Top 40, Rhythm and Alternative

Hey, buddy... it's almost Valentine's Day AND a three-day Presidents Weekend, so we know you're sitting through that extra promotion meeting to figure out what contest works for your restaurant sponsors plus buddy, you have several extra days of music scheduling binges ahead if that loved one expects some holiday nookie. Radio rocks! Let's dig in to what's happening at these key Mediabase formats this week before Selector claims its slave:

TOP 40

After their big Grammy week, Capitol claims Most Added honors with their new breakout mission, Tori Kelly and her debut single "Nobody Love," while current darling Sam Smith "Lay Me Down" comes in at #3.  Republic has four records in the Top 10  with Ariana Grande "One Last Time", Jessie J " Masterpiece" (Lava) while Nick Jonas "Chains"(Island) and Nicki Minaj "Truffle Butter" f/Drake (YMCM) ties for #10. Prior to her official impact date, Def Jam posted 20+ adds on Iggy Azalea "Trouble" f/Jennifer HudsonRCA has a great first week on Walk The Moon " Shut Up and Dance".  And Columbia swooped in with 15 adds on Calvin Harris "Outside" f/Ellie Goulding; rounding out the Top 10 Most Added.  

RHYTHM

It was a two-horse race, but at the end of the day, Ariana Grande's "One Last Time" (Republic) pulls it off and becomes #1 Most Added. Def Jam had a victorious week, as Iggy Azalea's "Trouble," Big Sean's "Blessings" f/Drake and Kanye solo plus Rihanna, Kanye and Paul McCartney all grab more than a handful of new stations.

ALTERNATIVE

Republic scores with "Absolution Calling" from Incubus which is by far the Most Added record this week at Modern Rock. Offspring's new single "Coming For You" (Time Bomb) has a impressive second week of adds. Foo Fighters (RCA) is off and running with "Congregation," a most added this week.  Joywave's "Somebody New"(Hollywood) has a nice day of new adds as does Mowgli's "I'm Good" (Photo Finish/Republic). A record to watch is In the Valley Below's  "Peaches" (Capitol) which picks up KROQ, KITS and KNDD to name a few.
