The dude who lost the iPhone 4G

GRAY’S ANATOMY: The Apple employee who triggered a media frenzy earlier this week when he lost a prototype of the iPhone 4G has been identified as one Gray Powell. The father of the Apple engineer told CNET’s Greg Sandoval his son was “devastated” following the incident, primarily because "He loves the company." Robert Powell also had strong opinions about the person who found the phone and collected $5k for it from Gawker Media: "The bottom line is the guy stole the phone," he said. "The guy's a thief." Gray came to Apple from Sony Ericsson after studying electrical and computer engineering at North Carolina State. So is Gray in jeopardy of losing his job? "I think he'll be OK," said Dad. "He's good at what he does. He's a hard worker." (4/22a)
