They're so Cash Money

THANK THEM NOW: The successful launch of Drake’s Thank Me Later album, which debuted yesterday at #1 with the year’s third-largest first-week sales total, has insiders tipping their hat to the Cash Money team of Ronald “Slim” Williams and Bryan “Baby” Williams, the New Orleans brothers who were also behind the success of Young Money principal Lil’ Wayne, as well as the breakout rapper’s managers Gee Roberson, Al Branch and Cortez Bryant. Despite the early leaks, Sylvia Rhone’s Universal Motown troops helped bring the album home. Turns out they’re all Money players. (6/23p)
