Gilliam to Helm Arcade Fire

THEY STARTED A FIRE: Terry Gilliam will direct the live Vevo webcast of Arcade Fire's concert at New York City's Madison Square Garden on Aug 5, the second of two shows at the venue. The band will kick off Unstaged, a new online concert series launched by American Express, with the live stream, starting at 10 p.m. (EDT). Gilliam’s films include Brazil and 12 Monkeys. His most recent feature was The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus, the last film made by Heath Ledger. The concert will stream on YouTube via Vevo. It’s the first in a planned series of five live streamed concerts, with John Legend joined by the Roots to follow. (7/27a)
