The Grammy Race Starts Here

AND THEY'RE OFF: There were few surprises at last night's Grammy Nominations show on CBS, with Eminem leading the pack, scoring 10 nominations, including one in all three major categories, Album (where his competition will include a trio of ladies, including Gaga, Antebellum and Katy Perry, along with Arcade Fire), Record and Song. Bruno Mars was up next, with seven, including noms in Record and Song for co-penning Cee Lo Green's viral smash, "F*** You," perhaps the evening's most unexpected multiple nominee. Our own touts Mumford & Sons garnered nods in two categories, including the very competitive Best New Artist field (with Justin Bieber, Drake, Florence + the Machine and longshot, jazz bassist Esperanza Spalding). Perry, who opened the show at L.A. Live by singing "California Gurls," was another big winner, aside for her nod for Best Album she received nominations in the Best Female Pop Vocal and Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals categories.
